Contrary to the predictions about religion’s demise, its role in America and the world is stronger than ever. People and nations continue to act according to their belief systems. For committed believers, people with vague or no religious beliefs, and even atheists, religion matters. However, it is not always easy to determine how it matters, whether or not its impact is good, bad, or ambiguous, or even how to talk about religion.

The religious landscape in America is changing and we find ourselves struggling with the implications and inevitable clash of values. We are puzzled and concerned by religiously-motivated acts of violence at home and abroad. To formulate an appropriate response, we need accurate information, discernment, and a willingness to address religion matters. We are here to help.
